Tea Time was Simply Divine...

This past weekend we celebrated Brooke's 4th birthday by having a "Tea Party" for her and a few of her closest girlfriends and cousins.

This was a fun party to plan; a bit smaller than previous parties...
but delightful nonetheless!
We tried to make it as "tea-party-kid-friendly" as possible.
The color scheme was yellow and white...with a touch of silver (and a lot of doilies!)

(There was too much food)

Take home gifts and favor bags.
My Mom willingly and wonderfully made these darling aprons and hats for our party guests. Upon arrival, each little lady was able to pick out and put on her own apron, hat and beaded necklace. They all looked adorable.
Thank you Mom...you are too talented for words.
Our first guest: Kaitlyn! Her choice: Pink!
Next to arrive: Rachel (choosing green). Just dashing!
A few more little ladies arrived

And the whole bunch together...

The first activity on our agenda was...
(thanks to my sis, em, for making this game)
(and thanks barby for rounding up and helping to lead it)

the little ladies eating lunch
And as expected with a bunch of 3 and 4 year-olds, at one point nearly all of them had ditched their own party clothes, rummaged through the dress-up box and adorned themselves with princess gowns.

the birthday girl: Brookie!
Next on our agenda: Craft time!
We made Ribbon Wands and let the girls decorate them
And they were also able to make a few of these "egg carton" flowers to take home with them.

We went outside to test out the Ribbon Wands...
the girls had so much fun with them.

Time for birthday cupcakes!
(or as Brooke says "pupcakes!")
Happy Birthday Dear Brookie...
Happy Birthday to you!

Mama and her birthday girl

Time for presents...
Thank you everybody!
I think Brooke has worn this nightgown every day since she received it...
she even wore it out to dinner one night (with black boots)
A lovely combo!

We ended the day by playing a family game of
"Pretty Pretty Princess"
Brayden was a bit apprehensive about this game, but I reminded him that even
kings wear crowns and pirates wear earrings.
Daddy was a good sport (this encouraged Bray).

And the birthday girl legitamately won the game,
crowning her the
"True Princess" of the day!

Happy 4th Birthday Brooke.
XOXO~
Mommy
