Weekly Report

Where did last week go? Time seems to be slipping through my fingers these days. I can't believe it is already November and the holidays are just around the corner.

Brayden did not have school on Tuesday...Darcy got out of work a bit early. We spent some down time together as a family...took the kiddos swimming and had family movie night.
We rented "Monsters vs. Aliens."
(Berlyn is in this photo...she is on Brayden's lap and, being the protective big brother that he is, her eyes are being shielded from what he thought was a "scary" part)
Grandpa came home from work one day and caught a quick cat nap on the floor with his granddaughter. Sweetness.
On Wednesday afternoon Brayden's school called me because he had come down with a fever. He was warm, but seemed fine otherwise after school that day. I told him I'd have to keep him home from school the following day because of his fever. He did not like this. I am not sure why, but I randomly came up with the idea that I would take him to get a milkshake the following day (should have thought that one through?!) He had never had one he would not let this "promise" go...even after being up all Wednesday night vomiting into Thursday morning...this little guy still wanted his milkshake.
He begged...and cried for a milkshake...until he fell asleep on his bed in pure exhaustion.
(and yes, once better, he did finally get his first vanilla milkshake...and loved it!)
Berlyn was 10 weeks old last Tuesday. Filling out...
and filling our hearts each day.
She is such a good baby...a "go-with-the-flow" little blessing.
Can scarcely remember what life was like without her.
It's like she's always been a part of our family...but just recently arrived.
And here is a glimpse of our lazy Saturday morning...Daddy and his babes relaxin' in their pj's on the couch...Brooke donning her daddy's sweater (which she keeps insisting on wearing around the house over her own clothes these days)
And Darc and I even managed to get away and enjoyed a couples night...dinner at Carabba's, a stroll and coffee at Partridge Creek and a movie with good friends.

And that's our weekly report.
Too blessed to be stressed.

  1. You are beautiful. Love the photo of you and Darcy. Looks like your week was good, even with sickness. Love the pic of grandpa and Berlyn, very priceless.

  2. Seriously, could you even possibly BE any more beautiful?! I just do not think so.

Poor Brayden - that one of him on the bed breaks my heart. I hope he's feeling better.

    Love you!!!

  3. Thanks for the regular updates -- pictures are fabulous (as usual). Ya know -- I could take a nap with Berlyn any day - any time. What a sweet picture! Had a nice chat with Linda while you had your "date-night" Friday -- I'll call you soon! Love to you all. Hugs to you all. Kisses to you all.

  4. Just lovely! Looks like your week was so full of blessing. These are some stunning photos of everyday moments...but how precious these moments are. Especially love the sat. morning couch photo!
