  2. Awww, Berlyn got her ears pierced! What a sweetie. Before you know it, she'll ask for a nose ring.

  3. So sweet! Seriously, Robin Mattia & I were just talking about this last week when she was doing my hair. She asked how Belle did getting her ears pierced. I told her that she did fine, but was 2 1/2 when we had hers done. And then I wondered out loud if Berlyn would be getting hers soon just like her big sis!

She is a beauty & now she has the jewels to accentuate all the yumminess she exudes!

  4. J-
I know I already commented on this post; but I wanted to respond to your comment on the "imitators" post & I wasn't sure you'd see it on KirkHaven.

I suppose this is has been on my mind because I feel like I too have been a little distracted, a little more irritable, a little too quick to snap in frustration or speak harshly. And I have felt frustrated with myself because of this...knowing these little ones are watching so closely & LEARNING from my example. As you said, Godliness and walking in His ways of love won't come naturally. It is truly through his power.

I've been trying to figure out why I've been a little "off" lately. I think maybe I have allowed my heart to focus more on things of this world & seeking validation through human standards. We've been getting ready for a family wedding & I've spent ALOT of time trying to get everyone's look 'perfect' for a 'perfect' price...which means a ton of time shopping & immersed in the messages of "you need MORE STUFF & this stuff will give you value!"

So all of that to say, thanks for your transparency & your encouragement. I am right there with you. I will be praying for you as you immerse yourself in Him, and learn by walking in His ways. You are a wonderful example of Godliness overflowing in love, peace, gracefulness & joy to your children. I appreciate your sensitivity to the Spirit's guidance and small, quiet voice that empowers us to remain in HIm.
    love to you!
