Vacation to Home

The kids had all last week off for mid-winter break. We weren't able to go anywhere, so I decided to bring vacation to home...each day of the week we traveled somewhere new. I'm hoping that when they grow, they'll look back on this break with fondness and remember the fun we had together visiting many far away places right out of our very own kitchen. These sweet memories are already archived deep into my heart. Togetherness and contentment. The things that matter. Travel along with us!

  1. how incredibly fun! what a great idea for a staycation, and I love how you involved the kids in the decor and menu writing and planning. i have no doubt these memories will hold a special place in their hearts when they are far from your nest! LOVED the chinese dixie lanterns!! and the flag banner looked FABULOUS!! loved the fabrics I saw & your unique touches to the Schrieber version! I haven't taken mine down yet...I plan to soon, but haven't had the 'heart' to yet. how sweet of you to serve darc a late night italian meal! and the 'darcy's tavern' cups during your germany meal was absolutely fabulous! loved it! thanks for sharing your week around the world! made me smile big tonight!
