for the bruised reed...

for those "just holding on" days,
and those "barely hanging on" moments, we are good to remember:

"He won't brush aside the bruised and hurt,
and He won't disregard the small and insignificant."
~Isaiah 42:3 (The Message)

to Him and His faithfulness we clutch and hold tightly. in His saving name we place our hope.

  1. True. I also like a statement made to both Abraham and Mary on the question of whether Sarah (at old age) and Mary (young and still just pledged to Joseph) could have babies under their conditions: "Nothing is impossible with God."

    1. What a timely word Warren...4 years ago, when God first led my husband and I out into the great "unknown" (which has resulted in a very long and painful journey that often times doesn't make sense to us,) God led me to scripture in Jeremiah. One of those verses that I have referenced time and time again in those moments of doubt has been: "Ah Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR YOU." (Jeremiah 32:17).

Indeed, nothing is impossible with God. Better yet, (Matthew 19:26: "...But with God, ALL things are POSSIBLE."

Thanks for sharing and letting God use you. He knew I needed that exact reminder.
